What if my plan’s directory said a doctor was in network and they were not?

The real answer

If you relied on your plan’s directory, or on its answer when you asked, that a doctor was in network, the plan may charge you no more than your in-network share for that care. What you pay must count toward your in-network deductible and out-of-pocket maximum (the No Surprises Act’s directory rule, 42 U.S.C. § 300gg-115(b)).

I drove to a store in my brochure and it was not there.
